The Idea

Law firms in Europe and elsewhere often have clients with interests or disputes in Egypt but no trusted counsel on the ground in Cairo to follow the file, appear in court and keep them informed. We act as the Egyptian arm of your firm: the same file, the same standard of follow-up, and written reports in English or Arabic.

• Correspondent counsel: we represent your firm's clients in Egypt in any legal proceeding, with periodic direct reports to your firm.
• Egyptian law opinions: advisory support on any question of Egyptian law, for your clients or for research purposes.
• Co-counsel: joint work on cross-border matters that need the expertise of both jurisdictions.
• Enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards before the Egyptian courts, and legalization and use of powers of attorney issued abroad.
• Reciprocal referrals: Egypt-related files come to us, and files connected to your jurisdiction go to your firm when needed.
• Representation of foreign companies in Egypt and pleading in civil and criminal cases at every level of litigation.
